The house was constructed of concrete block which was painted on the exterior. There were large picture windows with wooden sunshades protruding on the exterior above them. The ponded roof was flat and could be flooded for cooling. The back of the house - which contained the living room, dining room and studio - looked down a hill over a broad landscape to Echo Lake. This property was adjacent to the Schwefer Residence, both since subdivided.
