Mrs. Ware (nee Frances Venning) is the daughter of another prominent Highland Park architect. The Vennings and the Van Bergens were close friends; Frances and Nancy Van Bergen grew up and went to school together.
Van Bergen produced a full set of plans and collected his fees for this project. It was to be a flat roofed house, probably for Lake Zurich on an adjacent property to the Van Bergen's which they owned and planned to sell with the design.
The Wares decided to live instead in Hinsdale, Illinois and had a house built there by a different architect.
