          532 Fair Oaks was the home of his parents, William and Ella, where John grew up and lived until after World War I when he married and moved to Highland Park with Ruth, his wife in 1920.
          Nothing special, just a garage with a few details - according to the permit application, John S. Van Bergen is listed as the owner and contractor.  He and his brother, Frank may have built the garage themselves.
