Rough stratified Wisconsin limestone facade with stucco above, an arched front entrance, a massive central chimney, broad overhanging eaves with built-in gutters and an organic and flowing plan; these are some of the features of this building which became trademarks of Van Bergen's architecture in the 1920s. The arrangement of the windows on the front of the house are reminiscent of some of Walter Burley Griffin's work. The original wood cedar shingle roof has been replaced.
