          Originally on a larger plot of land, the property has been sub-divided.  The wood shingles have been replaced with asphalt shingles and the surface has been re-stuccoed with a heavy texture - both of which alter the character of the building somewhat.  Despite these changes, the house retains its drama.  There is an interesting contrast between the horizontal and the vertical lines of the exterior trim.  The original landscaping might have been done by Jens Jensen.
