Correspondence, 1911
Parker Berry to Purcell, Feick, & Elmslie
(February 25, 1911) Messrs. Purcell, Feick and Elmslie Gentlemen:- I have discussed with Mr.
Sullivan the possibility of my taking a position with you as a draftsman. We
have gone over the matter carefully together and, taking into consideration Mr.
Sullivan's advice and my own deliberations, I have come to the conclusion that
it would be unwise for me to change my location at present. As Mr. Sullivan
says, I am the point now where I can begin to branch out a little into other
branches of the profession besides drafting and in view of the fact that he
intends to give me opportunity to do this I this it wise for me to remain. I am, however, highly
appreciative of the honor you have conferred upon me in offering me a position
with you, and I assure that, should I think it advisable to leave Mr. Sullivan's
employ, there is not firm with which I would rather become connected than yours. Very sincerely,
