Bolles Rodgers, Alterations, Minneapolis
Bolles was a grammar school kid in Oak Park when I was in High School. His father a pillar in the Congregational Church and leading citizen in all affairs. He came to Minneapolis and married the daughter of one of the wealthy old grain families. These alterations were of no consequence, but should have led to our planning their fine house a few years later. The architect, however, was selected on the basis of social prestige and that left us out of consideration.
