Correspondence, 1912-1913: Design and construction

Letter from August Lennartz to William Gray Purcell (November 29, 1913)

Dear Sir:

Your communication received and contents noted. Size of opening in louvre frame is 10" x 5' 2-3/4".

We will have to change the butts for storm sash and screens if they are to be hung at the top as I suppose they are. 3 x 3 are too big and Emil Anderson says he hasn't any smaller [in] size in that color. Am not hanging any storm sash or screen, just fitting them. Is Mr. Brin to supply the glass? If so I will have the glass put in as soon as possible to keep the sash in shape.

Enclosed please find a memorandum of the time. Please make the check for Pat Murphy payable to me as I paid him in cash when I laid him off. I have his receipt.

Respectfully yours,
August [signature]
