This photograph was taken at the Aldrich Avenue South apartment in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where George and Bonnie Elmslie lived across the hall from William and Edna Purcell. The four brass candlesticks shown on the tabletop were manufactured by Robert Jarvie. Two of these candlesticks survive in the collection of the William Gray Purcell Papers, Northwest Architectural Archives, University of Minnesota Libraries (albeit one of them somewhat damaged). The pot on the table is a production piece of Teco, manufactured by the American Terracotta and Ceramic Company.
