Chicago, Aurora & Elgin Railroad Station -
ca. 1920
Ardmore and Highland - Villa Park, Illinois

A small rustic building with broad overhanging eaves, this railroad station has a large stone fireplace inside which would have provided waiting passengers with warm shelter on cold Chicago days.
The railroad is now defunct and the right of way is now part of the "Prairie Path", a scenic corridor running through the western suburbs of Chicago.  The building is now home to the Villa Park Chamber of Commerce.
It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
