This is Van Bergen's second design after receiving his architectural license. It is next door to the Elizabeth Manson House. It is more "Wrightian" than that design. It is also larger. The basic form of this house was to be repeated again many more times by Van Bergen. Unusual though, are the series of flat roofs. The veranda was originally open but is now enclosed. The permit is dated Sep. 8, 1911.
