William H. Griffith Residence and Garage - 1913

          This house is essentially a reverse plan of the Blondeel #1 house at 426 N. Elmwood in Oak Park and therefore similar to 436 N. Elmwood.  There is a two story addition on the back of the house.  The balcony off the front bedroom is now enclosed.
          The permit is dated September 17, 1913.  The addition in back was added in 1921 by the owner, C. L. Anderson who was also the carpenter/contractor.
          Van Bergen apparently sold the plans for this house to Sears for their home catalog.
