A brick and stucco structure, the living spaces are a complex arrangement of multiple levels similar to the Graham house in Park Ridge. Sited on a curved street and next door to the first house commissioned by Mr. Von Geyso at 456 Woodland (to the left - as seen from the street) the houses are completely dissimilar and show how Van Bergen's style evolved over about a 15-year period. This house at 450 represents Van Bergen's progressive and sophisticated designs of the 1930's while the house at 456 is simple, one story and is of an earlier, more basic and more natural style.
