A. O. Anderson Residence - ca.1913
233 August Ave. - DeKalb, Illinois

The Anderson Residence is almost identical to the Skillin Residence in plan.  However, the exterior is faced completely in an orange brick with stone sills and trim, instead of stucco with cypress.  All of the windows seem to have been replaced - the existing 4 over 4 divided lights are very much out of character for this style of architecture.  The veranda in front has been enclosed and the awkward angled downspouts, which have been added, distract from the very horizontal nature of the building.  The roof is flat red clay tiles.
