Helen C. Pierce Public School, kindergarten alterations

| This commission was a collaboration between George Elmslie, Jens Jensen, and John W. Norton to remodel the kindergarten of a school building in honor of the distinguished career of Helen C. Pierce. Elmslie gave the room an integrated trim system, stage, leaded glass doors and windows. Jensen landscaped the exterior playground and garden, and while Norton supplied over a period of following years an eleven panel series of murals themed "The Months of the Year." |
