Sotheby's American Renaissance auction
An unusually large group of objects designed by Elmslie throughout the course of his career are about to be offered at auction. The big ticket items, of course, are the furnishings, but the Leroy bank wickets are also standout. Other lots of interest include furniture and leaded glass panels by Frank Lloyd Wright, George Washington Maher, Adler & Sullivan, Robert Jarvie, and Teco. These links take you to the Sotheby's site. You will need a free registration to access the detailed catalogue information and the larger image views. (You should register anyway, since they send out email notifications of new sales that are a constant source of surprise and scholarly interest).
