This extraordinary image is the only known color view of this magnificent dwelling, which was demolished in the late 1940s to make way for a subdivision of Colonial-style houses.  If you look closely, you can see the leaded glass panels added by Purcell and Elmslie in the 1910s to enclose the sleeping porch.  That 1912 alteration was one of a cascade of changes that continued into the 1920s.
