EATON, CRANE, and PIKE

This company, of whom Adams was the Chicago manager, planned to build a business and office and showroom on one of the upper floors of a Chicago office building, a very extensive layout. I had several conversations with Adams about it. There may have been an element of "come along" in connection with favors for his own house. When he finally gave the planning of his home to Wright, Adams felt embarrassed toward us, and all consideration of the offices project was dropped. I never heard that Wright was brought into this picture.
